The bells of All Saints Church Martock have sounded out over the village and surrounding area for many hundreds of years.    They have been rung as an invitation to prayer, in celebration, in remembrance  and for the sheer joy of ringing.

However various serious faults have recently been found in the bells which will entail a costly overhaul.   This will entail removing the bells from the tower and it has been decided that while the bells are out of the tower they should be completely refurbished and retuned making them, hopefully, one of the finest rings of 8 in the county.

The last time such a major overhaul was done was in 1902 so we hope that  this overhaul will also keep the bells ringing for more than 100 years.
